 Discover the
techniques of realistic oil painting in the tradition of the Old Masters, but
with a contemporary palette. Painters of all levels welcomed. The instructor
will assist you with your choice of subject matter; please bring your own study
or photo reference. A supply list will be given at registration. Gonzalez has been painting professionally since 1993, and has
been teaching privately since 1996. Various galleries throughout the U.S. and
Europe represent his work. He has won numerous awards, and his artwork has been
published in several national magazines including Southwest Art Magazine and

world! Drawing is a skill that can be taught. It is not a gift or the touch of

right-brained creativity and works of art. This class is a good supplement for
home school art programs.

This class is designed to
introduce you to a wide variety of poets and poetry styles. There
will be reading and responding to poetry in a variety of ways, including
visual, verbal, and written. Shared techniques will help those who wish to
write their own poems, using writing from prompts and exercises to respond to
poetry, and make the most of your ideas. This workshop will have something
for all people interested in poetry, from the novice to those more familiar
with poetry, from someone who just wants to know more about poetry to those who
wish to go deeper into writing their own poems. What to
bring: a notebook, something to write with, copy of a favorite poem, and
your enthusiasm. Willingness to experiment and share your insights will be
necessary for this workshop.

In this 12-hour workshop, half of the instruction will
take place in the classroom and the other half will occur in the field. Learn
to use your own equipment to take great photographs that can translate into

Want to experiment with color and design? Want to learn to
make simple components that can be used to create designs for jewelry from
funky to elegant? The basic peyote stitch can be used
to make an almost infinite variety of designs. This class will teach the basic peyote stitch and how to create
a basic bracelet. Students will be supplied with a
basic kit which includes: two packs of Delica beads, beading pad, triangle,
needle, and spool of Nymo thread. Additional beads, thread, needles, and clasps will be
available at minimal cost. (To make available a range of color choices,
embellishments, clasp styles, and replacements for lost and/or forgotten
items.)

make a mini-bead out of peyote stitch, and help you to design jewelry using
