Mr. Privitera has studied acting and directing at the Dramatic Workshop in New York City, he has written and directed several plays and movies, and he holds a Masters Degree in film studies from the University of Houston. He is presently in pre-production of his new film, "The Disappointed Sniper."

Beginning Guitar

This product acts like paper but is framed like an oil painting - no glass or glare! It is a clay product layered onto masonite board, and with a few tips and tricks you can learn to paint washes and details like you would on watercolor paper, and learn to lift paint to make changes. Learn to pour paint onto wet paper to create luminous values in a rainbow of colors. Using masking fluid and wet paint, you will learn steps to do 90% of a watercolor painting without ever putting a brush to paper. Results are breathtaking, but the process is messy. Students will use the information and discussions as creative stimuli to create a personal response through their art work. This is an integrated approach to learning where students use left-brain learning and communication, to inspire right-brained creativity and works of art. This class is a good supplement for home school art programs.
TAACLCOLOR CRASH COURSE TAACLLearn the basics of color theory, relationships, and ways to choose colors to give your work unity. Each week we will concentrate on different color combinations so that you can make educated color decisions when working at home.

TAACLTAACLFREE FORM WIRE PENDANT: Basic Wire Wrapping (14 to Adult) TAACLThis is a good beginner’s class. You will never look at objects the same way again.
In this class the student will learn the basics of Wire Wrapping: how to make loops, spirals and how to properly wrap wire around wire. This is a great technique for wrapping found objects.
The student will leave with a finished pendant. All supplies are included in tuition.
TAACLTAACLTEXTURES IN WATERCOLOR TAACLLearn many Different techniques to create texture in watercolor to heighten the realism of your paintings or to strengthen your non-objective works.

Bring everyday items that you have collected and or find interesting so they can be incorporated into your projects. The project theme will be "Under Water World" so keep that in mind as you look for objects to use, but don't limit yourself. Obvious items include shells, rocks, coral, etc… but try to think out of the box… rusty tuna cans & boat parts can be interesting too.
If you find it interesting bring it! As a finale to the workshop, all student works will be used to create a single large collaborative work of art, to be displayed in the gallery from June 3 - July 1, 2010.
