WHO ARE WE?
Founded in 1997, The Arts Alliance Center at Clear Lake (TAACCL) is a not-for-profit organization that presents, enriches and promotes the visual, literary and performing arts landscape of Houston’s Bay Area. With monthly multi-media art exhibitions, year-round art classes for all ages and live performances ranging from concerts to dramatic recitals, TAACCL is an amazing community arts resource conveniently located across the street from NASA’s Johnson Space Center.
By engaging more than 50 non-profit arts organizations, including educational institutions, dance and drama theaters, basket weaver and quilter guilds, writers’ leagues, choral groups and musicians, and photographers and artists using many different media, TAACCL bring the arts together.
CHECK US OUT…
We invite you to stop by sometime – check out some of the following:
-
See the works of local, regional and national artists. TAACCL hosts two juried exhibitions annually, along with two youth shows and 10 thematic exhibits such as watercolor, student-teacher paired works, “water” and sculpture.
- Take a class and learn to paint with watercolor, oil or acrylics – or learn to make jewelry or baskets – or become a guitar aficionado – or learn to play chess – or learn to act! Check out our classes for adults and children.
Join us…
We have a lot of fun at TAACCL – it’s a great place to visit and a great place to bring Children. If you have a few spare hours, we are always looking for volunteers to help us. Check out our website for a list of current exhibitions, events, performances, and classes – and join us! Memberships start at $45 for an individual.
